Just an old mine near Idaho Springs. I put the tripod on top of our vehicle to get as little of the fence as possible. I then got down and used the remote to try and avoid any movement.
We were leaving the neighborhood and stopped so I could take a shot of the moon. It was in some clouds at the time. I tried to merge this shot with one exposed for the clouds, but it didn't look like what I had imagined.
It's only day 13 and I'm already running out of ideas for pictures! Thought I would cross another heart of the list, since we were in town today. This one is close to the grocery store I go too, so it was hard to get a shot without a car or ugly building int the background. It's called "Connections of the Heart".
Tried to make the s'mores cupcakes from the Bakerella site. Let's just say they looked a lot better before I baked them. I haven't tried one yet, but lets just hope they taste better than they look.
The kids and I went down to Colorado Springs to visit with my mom for the day. Well, we got a bit of a late start, so it was more like half the day. While down there we stopped at the AFA, so the kids could check out the B-52 on display and I could take a picture of it!
This is Greg. He is a drummer boy Christmas decoration that is about as big as Charlotte, that should be in the shed with the other Christmas decorations. However, Katie has adopted Greg as well as Santa and Gloria the angel as "members" of our family. 50mm lens F 1.8 SS 1/200 ISO 100
Katie helped me make dinner last night by cutting up the mushrooms. She wanted to do it just like the frogs on the Princess and the Frog, cause we went and watched that on Saturday. I convinced her that she has to practice 50mm lens F 4.0 SS 0.6Sec ISO 100
I took this shot at church today. We were in one of the entryways and I took a few pics as Mr. B was not listening to me! I thought this shot of him looking out the door was cute.
We celebrated my son's birthday with family today. My hubby and I made this cake for him! I baked it and put on the simple parts of the icing and then hubby did the rest. I thought it turned out awesome! There wasn't a lot of natural light in the kitchen, so I turned off the lights that were on and used a tripod.
The city of Loveland has these heART sculptures all over town. I think there are 18 of them. Every year I tell myself I'm going to find them all and take a picture of each one, but I never have. Maybe this is the year! This is the first one I've ever taken a picture of and it's actually one I'd never seen before. I think this it's called "A Comfort Zone Where Love is Grown".
Two of the authors of these books were our speakers at MOPs on Thursday. They did an awesome job and got me really excited to fill my freezer with yummy meals! Here's the website if you want to check it out: http://www.dontpanicdinners.com/
This is Downtown Littleton. The building at the end of the street is the Melting Pot! I was so excited to capture all three colors on the first stop light in this shot. I have always wanted to try it, I just lucked out on this one!
I got a bouquet of tulips from my Secret Sister at MOPs. Thankfully they were in a vase that fit in the cup holder of my truck so I got them home without spilling any of the water!
This is the Manor House, which was built in 1914 and is now an event center. I wasn't expecting Christmas decorations to still be up. It's too bad that it was a cloudy day, I think the house would look much better against a blue sky.
We went to watch my nephew Miah play basketball tonight. I definitely need more practice shooting sporting events and a camera that does better with a high ISO. This isn't Miah, but man those kids can jump!
Little visit to Grandma and Grandpa's house today. This my Mom's orchid, it is full of blooms. She has a green thumb that I definitely did not inherit!
Today after church I was asking my hubby what I should take a picture of and my daughter said, "take a picture of me" and then she wanted me to take a picture of her pink tights. So, this is my picture for the day!
We went snowshoeing today as a family. It was such a beautiful day with the sun out. I thought that the clouds looked cool, but then realized that those most likely were not clouds, but snow that was being blown off the top of the peak!
I took some pictures of the girls today, but I didn't love how they came out. Decided to post this picture instead, it's the handle on our "Camo Camper".
Angie and Tamera have gotten together to do a Project 365! Our goal is to take a picture each day for a year and post it on this blog. Hopefully doing this together we will be able to motivate one another and keep it up! Please feel free to post comments.
